"My daughter Haley loved the bubbles. She remembers your show and I remember your spirit--it precedes you." Bill Schlichtman

Dear Mr. Akins,

Thank you so very much for coming to our class! As educators, one of the greatest gifts we have to offer is our talent. When we use our talents to inspire and encourage the children, it has a lasting effect on them for the rest of their lives.

We were all so impressed with your dexterity and speaking ability. It was a one-of-a-kind experience! My favorite part was when you discussed ‘the importance of trying.’ This is a lesson I try to teach and model every day, and it was valuable for the children to have this idea reinforced by another positive role model.

They loved your performance (as did I), but more importantly they respected what you had to say, and walked away eager to try something new. We hope you will feel comfortable enough to come back anytime. You are always welcome!

Best of luck in all of your endeavors. You have a bright future. Ohm Shanti!"--Ms. Laura Braun, Teacher, Sawyer School, Chicago, IL

Once a year at our retreat center we have a gathering of like-minded individuals who come and celebrate with our families and friends. We invited Geoff Akins to come and share his joy and knowledge with bubbles and his awareness of wonder.

Geoff's show was magical. Each one of us - old and young felt the excitement within that only wonder can bring out. A woman who is in her late 60's said to me that being part of Geoff's show was the most fun she has had in a long time. She "felt the freedom to let the mind be in surprise."

Geoff taps into the awareness of all who he is performing for. He knows his audience and uses the wonder of bubbles to get us to our place of joy within. It is a great "time out" from this world.

The children where captured by his style of offering new ways to look at things and to enjoy play in the forgotten way of simple laughter. It was wonderful to see my son (who thinks only video games are fun) jumping for bubbles and laughing together with all the other kids.

Geoff was the highlight of our gathering and a great gift to meet.

Blessings and thank you, Maggie & Charlie Wilkins, Heartland Gathering Place Barrington, IL, 60010

On August 6th and 7th, 2005 The World of Faeries hosted their first fairy Festival in South Elgin, Illinois in Vasa Park. Dave and I were extremely gifted to have the talents of Geoff Akins at our festival. Just to see the light in the eyes of the children while he was performing and interacting with them.

The definition for Joy in the dictionary should include a picture of Geoff. Not only were the children smiling and dancing during his bubble performance but Geoff gets right down to their size and looks right into their faces. His performances are well thought out to not only bring enjoyment to the little ones but also to bring out the "child" again in all of us. Something we have forgotten along the way. That was the reason behind having the fair festival.

He worked under somewhat frantic conditions. Since this was our first year and some things did not work as smoothly as we wanted, Geoff had to work in between music acts. He never skipped a beat and made it look effortless. We hope Geoff will honor us with his presence in years to come to do what he does best. He is a pied piper of joy and fun for us all.
